YUMMY YOGA
Yummy Yoga focuses on yoga and food exploration. We’ll start with 30 minutes of yoga. After the workout, we go into the art room to learn about new foods! Possibly try foods students haven’t tried before or different preparations of foods they are familiar with. Yummy Yoga takes place in the spring semester, specifically the months of March and April. We meet in the weight room at 3:10 p.m. Club is done at 4:00 p.m. Please arrange a ride.

GAMES GALORE
Students who enjoy board games, card games, dice games, jenga or twister will enjoy Games Galore. We will meet in a relaxed atmosphere, have a snack and drink that you can bring, while learning some new games. Games Galore will meet once a month. Check the board or calendar for GMS to see the dates.

FIRE FIGHTING CLUB
The purpose of the Fire Fighter Club is to educate our youth about the roles that firefighters and emergency response personnel play in our daily lives. This club will provide information, demonstrations, and explore both career and volunteer opportunities in the firefighting profession. As the club director, my goal is to spark interest in the younger generations and to encourage our students
to become active volunteers in their communities.

DRAMA CLUB
Any 6th, 7th or 8th grader who is interested in drama is welcome to join. Throughout the course of the year, we will be doing different acting activities as well as talking about what goes on behind the scenes to make a production come together. Drama club is not responsible for any of the performances that are put on at GMS throughout the school year, but it is a good place for those who are interested
to find out more about what those productions may be like.

CHESS CLUB
The Chess Club gives students an opportunity to play friendly games of chess against their peers in a low-stress environment. Students of all levels are welcome to come, as help is given to those who need it.
Chess variants are sometimes played.

MAKERSPACE CLUB
Makerspace Club is like a playground where kids can come to the library and work and create with kits, games, and objects that we have available for them to use. Electronics, Legos, Kava Planks, Design Units, 3-D printers, Computers, etc. are all available for the students to use during the hours of Makerspace. This is all self guided. Students can stop in any day we have Makerspace. They don’t have to attend
every meeting and they do not have to sign up ahead of time.

KINDNESS CLUB
Kindness Agents is a club that focuses on doing random acts of kindness for students and staff. This club will focus on creating a culture of kindness that will empower others to do the same. As a member of this club you will have a mission that you will need to complete, but your true identity can never be revealed.

BOOK CLUB
Do you love books, reading, and meeting with friends? If so, you should join Book Club! Book Club will meet to read, discuss great books, make recommendations to one another, and enjoy some snacks.

ART CLUB
Art Club is a place for students who have a strong interest in personal art exploration. It’s open studio time for students to individually create art projects. Students interested in coming need to fill out a “plan for my project” form. These can be found right outside the art room door and must be completed before coming to art club. The form includes information on what type of project you’ll be working on, supplies you need to borrow/use from Mrs. Johnson, projected timeline for completion (absolutely fine if it’ll take more than one session to complete), and if you’ll need storage space within the art room. Club runs from 3:10-4:00 so be sure to have a ride arranged.

COLORFUL CREATIONS CLUB
Have you seen those coloring books with the awesome designs in them? If so you will love this club! In Colorful Creations Club we work on design coloring books and create murals with positive messages to place around school. Colorful Creations Club is a place for you to build new friendships, talk about middle school life, and of course, create artwork! Anyone is welcome, so stop by and check it out!

SCRAPBOOK CLUB
Social media and digital images on your devices are always nice but sometimes you just need to document those memories the old school way. Come to scrapbook club! It's time to take those pictures and memories and put them into a book personally designed by you! If you want to learn how to organize your pictures and memories in a creative visual way, we’re here to help. Everyone is welcome to attend but please remember to have your pictures printed and ready to put on pages when you arrive.
Club runs from 3:10-4:00, and we hope to see you there!

This club is offered to 6th, 7th & 8th grade students who want to learn to sew or improve their sewing skills. Sewing projects will be based on students' interests and abilities. Sewing club will meet after school from 3:05-4:05 p.m. Days and dates will be set up soon after school starts (check the schedule on bulletin board).

SKILLS USA
SkillsUSA is one the largest organizations in the USA whose purpose is to serve students preparing for technical, skilled and service careers. At the middle school level we spend the majority of our time building projects. Students will be able to choose which projects they would like to build, as there are several competitions. The students who have the best projects will have the opportunity to compete against other middle schools at a conference that is usually during the winter. There is a fee of $25 which covers the cost of supplies and registration fees for SkillsUSA.

GSA CLUB
The GSA is a student-led and student-organized school club that aims to create a safe, welcoming and accepting school environment for all youth, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. The GSA will provide a supportive environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) students, as well as those perceived by others to be LGBT, are questioning their identity,
have LGBT friends or family members, or just care about LGBT issues (Allies).

LEGO LEGION
Do you like to build or create things out of Legos? Lego Legion is the club for you. We will meet once a month on Tuesdays from 3:15-4:15 p.m. Each month will bring new challenges to your Lego building skills! Meetings will be held in the HAL room. Please see Ms. Van Ackeren if you have questions.
QUIZ BOWL CLUB
Do you have a love of trivia, random facts, and competition? Then Quiz Bowl Club might be for you! Quiz Bowl is an academic competition in which two teams of students compete to be the first to "buzz in" on academically-oriented questions. Any Student who is interested is welcome to participate. Pokemon Club is a club where students get together and explore all facets of the Pokemon Universe. Students will play Pokemon video games, compare and battle Pokemon cards, watch and discuss the series,
